COVID-19 update for carers in NSW

Carers NSW is closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, the ongoing government response and the wide ranging impacts it has on carers. Below is our latest COVID-19 information and resources for carers.

Latest information

Due to ongoing community transmission of COVID-19 in NSW, the NSW Premier announced on 14 July 2021 that the stay at home restrictions for Greater Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour would be extended for at least a further 2 weeks. Additional rules for regional and rural NSW also remain in place. Further information can be found on the NSW Government website.

Carers NSW understand that this is a particularly challenging time for carers. Carers can contact Carer Gateway on 1800 422 737 for practical and emotional support, as well as the Coronavirus Mental Wellbeing Support Service on 1800 512 348 to talk to a trained counsellor, or Lifeline’s crisis support line 24 hours, 7 days a week on 13 11 14.
