The Carer Knowledge Exchange (CKE) team, including staff from Carers NSW and the Institute for Public Policy and Governance at UTS, is pleased to invite you to attend our annual Research Incubator event, being held across a range of sessions over three days from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 May 2024.

This interactive online event will apply a sustainability lens to caring, building on themes captured in previous CKE events and highlighting carer recognition, respect and empowerment from a range of perspectives.

Day one will explore diverse approaches to sustainable support for carers, enhancing their mental health and wellbeing. On day two, a symposium followed by a workshop session will examine carers' financial sustainability, emphasising the importance of financial independence while fulfilling caring responsibilities. Day three will focus on opportunities to inform future carer related policy and research initiatives.

Program overview:

Day 1: Sustainable carer support, Tuesday 28 May, 10am - 12pm AEST

Day 2: Financial sustainability for carers, Wednesday 29 May, 11am - 1pm AEST

Day 3: Sustainable carer policy environment, Thursday 30 May, 1pm - 3pm AEST

This event is for anyone with an interest in connecting carer related research to practice, including carers, former carers, researchers, students, policy makers, government agencies and service providers to share their knowledge about carers and learn from each other.
