Grants to celebrate National Carers Week 2026

The National Carers Week Grants program returns in 2026 thanks to ongoing funding from the NSW Government Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).

Applications have now closed for the 2026 National Carers Week Grants.

National Carers Week will be held from 11 – 17 October 2026.

Delivered by the Department of Communities and Justice, the program provides one-off grants of $1,000 to $2,000 to eligible organisations across NSW to deliver community-based activities and events that recognise carers and create opportunities for connection.

Funded activities must take place during, or close to, National Carers Week (11–17 October 2026) and should reflect what carers say they need and value.

Organisations working with Aboriginal carers, culturally and linguistically diverse carers, LGBTQIA+ carers, young carers, older carers, and carers in rural and regional communities are encouraged to apply.

Applications close 5pm, Monday 25 May 2026.

Find out more and apply via the NSW Government Grants and Funding webpage.
