Carers NSW is a not-for-profit registered charity. On 15 June 2015 Carers NSW legal status changed to company limited by guarantee. Carers NSW is governed by a Board of Directors in accordance with the Corporations Act 2001 and the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission Act 2012.
The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance and strategic direction of the organisation to ensure Carers NSW vision is achieved.
Each year Carers NSW invites all members to attend the Annual General Meeting.
Carers NSW is effective in meeting the needs of carers by working to a Strategic Plan. The current Carers NSW Strategic Plan outlines the organisation’s goals and strategic direction for 2021-2024.
