New Carer Knowledge Exchange launched

Wed, 13 Oct

Today Carers NSW, the Institute for Public Policy and Governance (IPPG) at the University of Technology Sydney and the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) launched a new three-year initiative focused on connecting research to practice to improve outcomes for carers.

The Carer Knowledge exchange aims to bring together carers, researchers, students, decision makers, professionals and service providers to share their knowledge about carers and learn from each other.

The Carer Knowledge Exchange will feature:

  • A digital platform containing a searchable database of carer related research and best practice
  • Educational and networking events
  • Collaboration opportunities to build evidence-based practice.

An initial landing page for the project was launched today with more features being added in early 2022.

The first Carer Knowledge Exchange webinar was also announced today, and will take place from 12.00pm – 1.00pm on Wednesday 24 November 2021, focusing on carers in paid employment.

Interested stakeholders can sign up to receive email updates or suggest a research publication to be featured by visiting the new landing page via the link below.
