Carers NSW is proud to announce a partnership with community organisation RALLY4EVER.
The partnership will look to build on the outstanding work that RALLY4EVER are already doing across the community by linking people with meaningful social connections and reducing isolation.
“We are truly excited to be able to announce this partnership with RALLY4EVER,” said Carers NSW Chief Executive Officer, Elena Katrakis.
“RALLY4EVER facilitate a range of meaningful tennis programs that benefit many in the community and our partnership will focus on linking carers to these opportunities.”
RALLY4EVER Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Louise Pleming, is a highly respected former professional tennis player and now a Grand Slam commentator and high-performance coach.
Louise details the RALLY4EVER program, as well as what the partnership with Carers NSW means, in the Q&A below.

Tell us about more about RALLY4EVER?
RALLY4EVER is about breaking down barriers and connecting everyone in our community to the game of tennis, bringing people together from diverse backgrounds, ages and abilities.
We facilitate a range of tennis programs that are purpose-built for our community and designed to get people moving again and form long-lasting friendships and meaningful social connections along the way.
Where can people currently attend a RALLY4EVER session?
Our programs are currently available in various locations across New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Queensland.
In NSW, our programs are available at Artarmon, Ashfield, Bar Beach, Baptist Care Hope Street, Bulahdelah, Centennial Parklands, Cowra, Marrickville / Inner West Council, Parkes, Strathfield, Wentworth Falls and Woolloomooloo.
We encourage carers to come down and get involved in some of these sessions.
Who is the target audience of RALLY4EVER?
We don't judge. We've got young people that have had real breakdowns, older people that are just feeling very isolated. They are forming friendships and now go out and play tennis together. That's what it's all about.
Our programs welcome all fitness levels and no tennis experience is necessary to attend.
Why did RALLY4EVER partner with Carers NSW?
I believe our partnership with Carers NSW will help us to reach carers in the community who may be feeling isolated and would benefit from social connection opportunities. Unfortunately, we know that this is a common issue for many carers who are supporting a family member or friend.
Long term, we hope to expand our programs and generate specific RALLY4EVER carer groups across NSW.
I’m also really looking forward to connecting with carers and service providers at the Carers NSW Conference 2022 Networking Event and discussing ways in which carers and the wider community can get involved in the program.
