Care2Work is an employment support program that aims to build carers’ capacity to engage in paid work of their choice through provision of holistic, carer- focused employment support.
What is Care2Work?
Providing informal care to a family member or friend can make looking for and maintaining suitable employment challenging for many reasons. The Care2Work program assists carers to identify their strengths and achieve meaningful work-related goals, whatever their situation.
Individual support is available to carers and former carers in NSW, based on assessment and need, and includes:
- Career coaching
- Assistance translating caring skills into workplace skills
- Guidance matching skills and experience with industries of growth
- Resume development and review
- Information on education, employment and employer networks
- Interview skills training and support
- Practical tips and strategies for juggling paid work with caring
In addition to individual support, the Care2Work project is working alongside the Carers + Employers program to recognise and support carers in the workplace.
Care2Work is funded by the NSW Government through the Carer Investment Program.
