Instructions for applicants
Prepare your application
Download the position description, review and ensure that you prepare your response in line with the selection criteria. Addressing the selection criteria logically and to the point will ensure that your application can be accurately assessed.
The following documents are required in Word or PDF format only, to support your application:
- A covering letter indicating your interest in the role. Quote the correct position title and location.
- A statement of response addressing the selection criteria. Each selection criterion in your application requires clear headings and a brief paragraph outlining your knowledge and experience.
- A resume outlining your personal contact details, professional work experience, achievements and qualifications. Carers NSW preference is that your resume be limited to a four page document, in reverse chronological order, with the most recent experience first.
- Details of three (3) work related referees. Referees need to be in a supervisory position, able to provide comments on your performance. Referees will only be contacted for applicants who have been shortlisted.

Your application must be received by the closing date.
What happens next?
You will receive an automated e-mail acknowledging that your application has been received.
Based on the information provided, the selection panel will create a short list of applicants to interview.
In general, shortlisted applicants will be contacted after the closing date to arrange an interview time.
It is a condition of employment that a successful applicant must have the right to work in Australia, undergo a Police Records Check, and where applicable, provide a Working With Children Check.
