National Carers Week 2013
National Carers Week 2013 took place between 13-19 October 2013 with ‘Be care aware' as the theme. Many events were held across NSW to celebrate and acknowledge carers, including Carers Day Out on Tuesday 15 October at Martin Place, Sydney.
Biennial Conference 2013
The Carers NSW Biennial Conference brings together health professionals, disability and other service providers, government representatives and employers, and provides an opportunity to explore practice and ideas, research and initiatives in carer support.
The Carers NSW Biennial Conference 2013 was entitled Caring, Working, Living and was held at the Novotel, Sydney Brighton Beach on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 March.

Our policy team works in a variety of ways to represent carers. We make written submissions and reports, attend meetings and forums, work in partnership with governments and other agencies, provide advice to a range of stakeholders, conduct research to raise the profile of carers within the sector and more broadly.
