Carers NSW Congratulates Australia Day Honours Recipients

Carers NSW extends our congratulations to all 2019 Australia Day honours recipients. In particular, we celebrate the recognition of two former Board Directors of Carers NSW, Dulcie Flower and Stephen Anthony, and Friend of Carers NSW, Julie McCrossin, for their outstanding service to the community.

Dulcie Flower was appointed a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia in recognition of her service to the Indigenous community, and to the 1967 Referendum Campaign. Dulcie served on the Board of Directors for Carers NSW in 2005.

Stephen Anthony was awarded the Medal (OAM) of the Order of Australia in the General Division for his service to people with a disability and their families. Stephen joined Carers NSW on the Board of Directors in 2006.

Julie McCrossin was appointed Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for her significant contribution to the community, particularly through LGBTIQ advocacy roles, and to the broadcast media.

Appointments to the Order of Australia recognise outstanding achievements and services to the community. For more information, or to view the 2019 Australia Day honours recipients, visit https://www.gg.gov.au/australia-day-2019-honours-list
