Caring for someone with a life-limiting illness

Resources to help support those who care for someone at the end of their life or with a life-limiting illness.

When someone is diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, those closest to them often become carers as the illness progresses. Carers NSW has developed resources to support those caring for a family member or friend with a life-limiting illness.

In these resources, people who have cared for someone towards the end of life share their experiences to help guide others who are caring. Caring for someone with a life-limiting illness can be a very stressful time for carers and it is hoped that through sharing these experiences, carers will feel less alone at this time and supported in their caring role.

This information is also a valuable education resource for those working with people with life-limiting illnesses.

These resources also provide links to other services and supports that may be able to assist carers.
